    Smile hehe.. yeah

I was kinda going for this really mean lookin pirate fella who carried around this plant with him.. like its his softer side/best friend. In an early sketch he had a mug of ale on the bar with him, but i decided he needed something to balance out his evilness. I've really enjoyed drawing fun stuff again. I've been drawing product conceptual stuff for school and stuff that I had neglected my love of anime and comic art Well I hope I can start putting this stuff in photoshop and flash soon.. I wanna get a wacom tablet to start doign this stuff.

btw my penciled stuff almost always comes out better. hehe.. thats life i guess.

    cheers!

T'would be cool if the plant had thin spindely (I'm not spelling this right.. ) legs, that came out of some holes in the pot, and followed the guy about.. Much like a duckling, I suppose.

Yeah.. well. I think its funny, anyways.

Good luck with it.. make sure you post the coloured version.

Kind of like the classic Bresson movie "The Professional"! I love that movie.

Not sure if anyone here played Maniac Mansion (Lucasarts), but remember the purple tentacle?

I do like the picture, tho. I like your concept, too - you should definately run with the story, perhaps put together a comic or some sort of atmospheric animation with it.

Squink - doing consistently good work, and in three (relatively) different styles - you're really putting your Wacom through it's paces. Keep 'em coming, definately.

mazeguy - I really liked the pic - good shading, great character. He's just begging to be animated (though after working most of the night and only having a handful of actual motion tests to show for it, I understand your lament about work time. )

Here's something I just cobbled together quick for this thread.

    [swf width="225" height="170" background="#FFFFFF"]http://www16.brinkster.com/sunguy/makincall.swf[/swf],

It's a caricature of me trying to figure out the somewhat nonsensical country codes so I can make an international phone call (based on a true story. )

And I decided to take down my footer temporarily to honor Isao Okawa, a great visionary and a great man who recently passed away.

Or! Oooh, those gurly mags.. the toon characters in sugar, J17, Bliss, etc.

Hello. although I've been to this board for a while, I rarely posted anything.
    Here's some artworks I did.

Well, I prefer it with no outlines at the moment, but thn.. I havent seen a with outlines version. Pretty sure I'd till prefer the no outlines tho.

Look forward to the rest of the body!

(Did you notice how odd "drawing" conversation sounds to the rest of the real world? I saw I cartoon at a time when I was having trouble with body shapes, and I just said "Oh, nice legs" and I got *such* a weird look for it. )

    Re: Re: Hey Laura....

    Greetings!

So... I will go without lines in body too as you have suggested...

let me see how far I can do Its really difficult for me... I think you should be a Great Artist to do so.... I can draw but I am not a good artist....

Anyway.... Thanks for your reply and suggestions.... I will let you as soon as the body finishes and attached with the head either it is in ONE year or TWO years or MORE...... ha ha hahaha ha...

    Take care...
