audio integration

i haven't work with sound in flash enough to know its ins and outs... i was curious if there is any way for flash to pick up audio properties (ie: decibles) i know that you can modify levels and whatnot within flash, but can it detect the raw audio properties? any ideas would be much appreciated!

Spelled my board name wrong...a well that's ok it happens
all the time.Other people do it i am used to it.

Now as far as Flash detecting amplitude and doing stuff like EQ flash really does not have that capability.

there are acouple of .fla files in the movie section
you could check out that have some cool thing worth checking out.
