To PROS who need a break...

I am creating a interactive dj flash movie and I am new to flash but am going to dedicate the next few days to it so I need an accelerated crash course with you pros if anyone can field any of these questions?

I have photographed, registered, and cropped about 100+ images of different poses but I want the final movie to run as smoothly as possible. So I'm looking for any tips or tutorials on... I'm not expecting one person to answer ALL these but I will ammend it this week as my question are answered... Here are some examples of others that have done this to some degree...

1. I'm doing little bursts of 4 frames at a time that will loop. What size image is too big? Will these "bursts" be able to load in the background while the end user "plays" with the initial loops."

2. Ultimately I would like to crop out the background so I can swap them out but trimming 100+ images could take me forever. I could do it, but would I see a benefit in loading time due to less pixels per a layer? Any tips for masking besides doing it in photoshop with mask layers?

3. The benefits of black and white over color (file size)? Should I use .jpg compression or .gif?

4. Suggestions for the interface. SHould I just make hotspots in the middle of the movie.

5. Half of the images have me wearing glasses. I'm thinking of making an beginner and advanced level cause I can't have one frame with me wearing them and one without. Should I treat this as a separate movie or maybe have two buttons that launch the user into each mode?

6. Initially I may have people load musik of my mp3.com page but are their any tips on adding little scratches and hits?

7. What is the correct way to embed this into my page so a majority will see it?

Check out this guy's djmixer. Pretty sweet. Something nice about his is the fact that there is a bit of animation involved, using only a few differeent symbols repetatively, which keeps the file size down.

You will face problems with file size doing your project the way you are suggesting.
