Well, I made these buttons and they are links to
other URLs. My problem is when I put the mouse
cursor over them to try to click them I have to
be right over the letters in order for it to work.
For example if my link says, "Page 1" and I put
my mouse pointer between the 'e' and the '1' or
in the hole of the 'P' the link doesn't work.
I thought about maybe using some kind of transparent
background or something, but I don't know. Is
there an easy way to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, it's all in the 'hit' state of the button. You need to add a keyframe there and throw a filled rectangle (or whatever shape you want) around the text. This will be the area that actually is "hot."

Thanks, but I'm still having a problem.
If I do what you said it fills in the background with
whatever solid color I pick. I want the background
    to be transparent.

Are you sure you added the rectangle ONLY in the 'hit' state of the button?
