It has come to our attention that there has been an increasing number of links posted to Warez sites and some members even posting links in their footers.
Flash Kit has zero tollerance for anything to do with WAREZ. It is pretty much an automatic ban to post links to them.
Please help us to "keep the boards clean" by emailing the webmaster, myself or the relevant forum Mod if you see an offending link. These threads will be deleted and bans will be imposed where appropriate.
Thanks for your co-operation in helping us stamp out this type of activity.

hmmm, haven't seen any yet.

I've seen some kids in the help forums asking for rather dodgy help which is obviously linked with and illegal copy of flash. You can't ban them though because they aren't being obvious.

dIgital pHoto dude!
Nice one Scillis - a Zero Tolerance policy is by far the best one.
Its people like Warez Junkies that poush up the price of software for the rest of us!

I'll tell you one program which I reckon has more warez versions that original.
3DS MAX!
I've seen far too many people asking stupid questions on boards about that. If you'd paid over 2000 pounds for a program then you'd learn how to use it wouldn't you!
If all those warez people bought that it would go down to a decent price.
Wish I could afford it!

Yeah but the things you use it for would rake back that money in one maybe two jobs!

no warez = stifled innovation
I totally disagree with the concept that Warez=bad. Stop being a corporate lacky!
I do understand and support what Scills is saying about no warez on flashkit. It isn't the place to be promoting illegal copies of software etc, there are plenty of sites for that.
BUT think about it - warez=innovation. There would be a lot less piracy if software houses didn't charge through the nose for it, so they are a large part of the problem.
My view is simple, and my own experience hopefully illustrates what I'm saying. When I first wanted to learn flash there was no way I could afford the $$$ for the product, same goes with max, fotoshop, illustrator, pro tools yada yada yada. Luckily I'm a warez junkie so I got them all for free. I learnt Flash, I thought - this is the ****. This program is so good, those macromedia guys are so innovative, I give em so much respect that if I move into a commercial environment there is no way I won't pay the dollars for it. End result is I conviced my company to buy the product, people are now using it here, and they are buying more copies. When my own home business gets off the ground I will definitely buy a personal copy, no questions asked. If warez didn't exist I may not have learnt flash, therefore my company WOULDN'T have bought copies and I wouldn't set up my own business.
Someone out there tell me that everyone doesn't win in a situation like this.
Personal = go for it, grab everything for free and learn up!
Commercial = buy and support the product fool!

If you're dedicated to a craft, you'll find a class somewhere that has the program and work on it, learn it, experiment after class or in your spare time if there's more you need to do. A person with that type of dedication and persistence can do a project or find a single job that would furnish an entire design studio.
There's also so many educational discounts, professional user groups, demos, etc. that are out there, that there's really no way to justify bootlegging or warez except for laziness and greed.

No, I'm not getting into philosophical debate over it, all I asking is that, we as a community, police ourselves. WAREZ = Illegal (whatever reason or justification and it is not wanted here)

I've been "dunover" for reading half a post again.. sorry mate.

I definately agree that this isnt place to promote or link to warez sites or files.
Its illegal and i cant see a time when warez will disappear. However, if it wasnt for warez, a lot of talented people would not be where they are today. Just thinking about the amount of money an individual would need to spend to own about 4 or 5 top prgrams is unimagineable.
The only time i would ever consider buying a few programs would be when im raking it in. The only way im gonna be raking it in is to practice a hell of a lot with these programs, and obviously if you arent loaded already then you cant just go out and buy them without having a few extra mortgages or loans, or be lucky enough to have a good job already with a company willing to buy those things...and even if this was so, you only have the time you are at work, and this isnt usually spent learning and messing around with this software as you have work to do...time for air.
