3 sec delay using a single frame script

Does anyone have a suggestion for creating a two to three second time delay within a single frame script???

nope,two frames needed minimum to update the values of variables!!

i have two movieclips with some animations on both, i want the movieClip say "one" to play 5 second before the movieclip "two" on the same frame,
like you said there is no way to delay the time frame on the same frame , we need at least two frame,
but wat if i use object to be delayed?

in 2000, at the time of that very old thread you digged out, 2 frames were needed. Not anymore. Check setInterval in the livedocs (link in my footer)
