I like that first one a lot! Very simple, a big change from the normal photoshop stuff that you see. Although it looks like its exported as a gif websnap 256, and since it has a gradient then you would be much better exporting it as a jpg with maybe a 85 to 90 quality.

Second one is ok, but i really dont like the shade of red that you used against the light gray. Doesn't really mix. If you maybe darkened the gray, or used blue (maybe #004080) then it would look a lot better.

    But overall good job!

I really didn't worry too much about the export, my bad

I think I might darken the gray on that second one like you said...

2 shades you might want to try for the base color would be #212121 or #424242 Somewhere in between there too would work

    Actually, I just checked it...

It was a jpeg export (don't ask me why I did that ) at a high quality setting, 85 I think...

THat's really odd. Why did the gradients end up so ungradientish?

the best part of the top one is its simpleness. wallpaper should be simple, not those big complex things that you see nowadays!

umm... don't wanna sound mean but it's a picture with a black red gradient on top? I'm all for the minimalistic style but i think it is tooo plain. Just me? Probably.

RR, there's some other "junk" in there but it's hard to see in the export. Anyway, I'm not trying to pass it off as some complex art piece (I'm working on one now that is detailed). I just thought I needed a little Shannon Elizabeth on my desktop.
