    excluded apl. in control panel

    2. MP3 sucks, avoid working on fla with big sound
    inside, beter load biger loops

    3. set udo number in prefer. in flash from 50 to lower
    (I have 20)

4, save big files to ather file (if system's frequently crashing it's safer)

5, Sound Jam working is freezing my flash (realplayer is ok)

    6. and best solution: I have from 150 to 200 MB RAM dedicated
    to flash

sorry, this may be a silly question, but when working with win98, where can I dedicate RAM to flash?

    btw
my fla also crashed. when i opened flash, everything was grey and when clicking into the movie it said something about memory. before the crash i cleaned the library with some fonts and i read somewhere in a german forum that there are bugs in flash in combination with reimporting jpgs that werde saved in ACDSee.
well, i don't know. maybe someone can help me. otherwise my work is destroyed *buhu*. the only thing i can do with the movie is watching the library.

    thx.

wow, lots of good stuff here.

I myself have had lots of the problems mentioned here. crashes, super slow performance, even with 225 RAM allocated.

i closed almost all of the panels i had open and that helped speed things up considerably.

I'm gonna wipe my hard drive clean on monday, install flash with no extensions on and then run it from OSX which i have had good luck with from my home machine.

I highly recommend keeping only the bare minimum of panels open. it's made me sane again after a week of insanity on a large scale project.
