bending letters

I want to wrap a word along the top of an arc.
is there an easy way to do this with flash or swish?

I hope you can picture what I'm talking about.

You want to attach your letters to a path.

In swish, you could use the 'wave' effect, and adjust it so at one point you get the arc you want. Export an swf

Then, import that swf into a graphic in your movie, and delete all the frames except the one with the arc you want.

Or...

Using Freehand, you can make text, attach it to a path (your curve) and export an swf.
