    how to make the the film Matrix effect using Flash ?

    you mean the "gosth in the shell intro effect" yuk yuk yuk

    mmm, to my mind, the best would be to do it with actionscript. but my english is not good enougth yet to explain what i have in mind :/

    Well...

    The best would be with actionscript, but you can also do it with symbols and motion tweens. You just have to be carefull you don't put too many characters on the screen at one time or your file size will explode .

    Method:

    1) Make a long verticle symbol that is just a buch of random letters.

    2) Dupe the symbol on a few layers

    3) Make a mask layer (that masks all of the letter layers)

    4) Motion tween the letter symbols down through the mask

    5) If you want different brightnesses you can just add a layer on top, and add a square that is filled with a gradient. Make the gradient dark with a very low, fluctuated alpha value.

    That would be the simplest (and jikiest) way

    P.S. - Dig the random quote generator on my footer. Still working out the kinks tho...
