nice stuff, i'm still looking at it, but i just wanted to comment on how popular a tool quicktime is becoming with cutting edge designers.... several of the new pages i've looked at are using it.
the submethod and http://www.volumeone.com quicktimes are great
-
d-realm is cool, I'm pretty dissapointed with the others on that list though, especially submethod, expected more I guess, their style seems to be shifting, shame that.

i'm so surprised that the boards are so quiet about this..
there were more posts in threads anticipating the reboot than there have been about the results of it.
come on people there are some amazing new sites out there, over 1600 to explore!!!
get on with it!!

Thats wicked - Love that site - holy ****! - excellent modelling and lighting on the space/hover thing - wow!
-
some cool splash designs
http://www.nine44.com/
http://www.experimentzero.com/
http://www.fictionpixel.com/
dform1shiftfunc has definitely impressed me the most so far.
-
That dform site is something else, simply stunning.
However, I don't know if I am missing something but usability is basically nonexistent on these sites. The design is cutting edge and top flight but something about the lack of usability is really irking me.
-
yeah I've noticed this too, some really nice visual work, but no usability. basically these site have no practical use other than to impress/inspire likeminded designers.
-
Yeah - I found that too about the usability. It doesnt really matter to me much...I dont mind exploring sites like that.
I also didnt read any of the information they had the first time I went there - but its the creative director from Vr2L who did that....of course.
-
yeah so far i've been extremely impressed with what i've seen. seems like the designers choice of weapon these days is 3d. i saw this reboot as a chance for designers to push the envelope and so far i haven't been disappointed. great sites!
