    Opening Default Browser

I work for a community college that does not have network support for IE and some machines don't have it installed. No big issue for but the majority of faculty don't understand, freak out, call the help desk, and ask who broke their machine. Problem is that when I use Get URL from the .exe it opens IE no matter what. Is there a way to stop this?

I just tested what you said.. (I hardly ever touch Netscape)
    And you where indeed right.

What a total shocker.. Wonder why macromedia chose to do that?

(might have had something to do with IE's ActiveX support or netscape's fanishable down trend )

Anyway not to my knowledge is there anyway to do it with the Get URL command.. but with the FS Command Exec you could in theory (if every single Navigator program was installed to the exact same spot.. and all where probally on drive c: ) Then you could specify the exact location of Navigator's path and then the path to your URL a command might go something like this..

    c:\somefolder\netscape.exe c:\somefolder\somefile.htm

You of course need to make this argument a expression in flash and use the Chr (9) for a space that or Chr (32)
Check here for instructions on doing that..

Also if have room for another file along with your projector then you can use my DefaultApp program it's available for download from here..

(it would be a lot simpler then the method posted above and doesn't suffer from exact location problems)

You could also you aquire JTOOLS which costs $50 it's availabe at http://www.***********.com

    Note: Fixed the link..
