I'm working on my very first FLASH project and I've really decided to tackle a lot. I would like to have people type there name into a text field and select a button for male or female and then have FLASH play different movies for the different letters of there name and different movies based on there sex as well. In other words if I type in DAN it would play 3 manly movies and if I typed in DANA it would play 4 feminine movies. Can this be done entirely in FLASH or is CGI scripting needed? Thanks a million; it's alright to tell me I've taken on more than I can chew. I can take it.

yes it can be done it's not hard to do. you can can have button that have tell target action to go to different movies.
