nice stuff, i HATE fullscreen, especially when they stick the close window button in such a stupid place, but there's some nice art up there.

Awsome designs. I hate fullscreen too, but that was well worth the annoyance.

    . . . . agreed to the fullest.

very very sexy work. the versus project has some awesome stuff. very sharp, very vibrant. i loved the very last image where the bg opacity fades to show the generic photoshop gray tile grid in the background. i thought that was very original. it brings to mind the experience associated with making this type o' art and the beauty that is involved in being a digital artist and the process involved.

i am kinda tiring of a few things, though:
    namely,

    tiny little text...
that serves no purpose but to fill space. i like it when you can zoom in and read it, but even that is getting kinda redundant.

barcodes i never understood the point of.

arrows are starting to piss me off.
they're everywhere!! it's coming to the point where when i see an arrow i get all defiant and purposely avoid looking in the direction they're pointing... hopefully i don't take a road trip soon, or i'll end up in the exact opposite place i was planning to visit...

    fullscreen without warning.
why not just make the browser drop the menu and address bar and all that? or like www.egomedia.com does and make it dump the browser, but keep the task bar?? i understand the designer wanting to get rid of the browser feel to control the experience, but there should be warning and possibly options. i think www.egomedia.com does it right, but i'd like to hear what others have to say.

glad you all thought it was cool,, about the full screen.. I think it is cooler to have a full screen espiecially when you got that kinda design for a backround, and there is always close window option anyways and if you can't find that then hit alt+f4... really no big deal

personally, i multi-task when i'm online, so it's annoying to have to hit alt+tab when something busts up full screen all unexpected like. it ends up not focusing my attention, which is its intended purpose, but making want to close the site so i can continue multi-task instead, which is the opposite of its intended purpose.

therefore, i think a comprimise is the best solution. kill the browser's physical/visual architecture (i.e. the title, menu, and address bars like www.egomedia.com) to acheive an effect that is very close to fullscreen, yet retaining the user's ability to do whatever she wishes easily and normally with the taskbar. a simple solution to go alongside this is to offer two versions: one that goes total fullscreen and another that retains the taskbar.

i've heard much trivial debate about fullscreen, and this is an attempt at looking at it a bit deeper. hope i suceeded in doing so!

i agree with dumb dumbs comments about the fullscreen.. it's not about being able to close it it's just about being able to surf around and flick between windows without having to alt-tab. If you have a site like this that takes over your screen and all you get in return is a preloader you want to get on with something else.

why not make it like egomedia, keep the task bar, that's all it would take.
