how do you do a text URL link

How do you make a text into a URL link, using the text options i.e. dynamic link. Because I have lots of www links in my site and need to make them into weblinks in the easit posibble way.

just go to the character palette, and type the url in the URL field.

I did type the url address in and it underlined the text with a dotted line, but it did'nt work, so do I put an actionscript on top of that, of am I missing something?

If you got the dotted line, it should be working. No need to do anything else. What happens when you Test Movie and click on the text. Do you get the pointy-finger cursor? Does a new browser window open at all?
