hi after some software to get me started in sound....whats the best for beginners?
have read that huge thread...but doesnt really state which would be easy to use.

Hey try Audio Station its super simple and its pretty cheap.

Try Fruity Loops v.3 Its good try and learn from. Easy to use and has a simple interface. The free demo version allows you to everything except save your work but you can export it in .mp3, .wav or .mid format. And if you like it you can buy it for under $100.

hmmm....
checked it out, it looks pretty cool, need to spend a bit more time on it, but was wondering.....I want to mix audio from say video cameras and stuff, voices etc....will fruity allow this/ is it still quite easy to do? Do you just import it as a sample....hmmm,
