it is all down to personal opinion Phlogiston, they may think its the best site in their opinion and you cant argue with that, and they may be "lame a$$" to you but not everyone else, you cant have your own way in these boards especially with so many members, unless of course your a mod.

I like flash because it easily translate you're thoughts into art. Problem is finding that thought, and then make it real. And like i said Flash is like ART. Mostly you don't understand it. Some like it some not.
But one fact stays put. And that is that when you actualy put some trouble in it NOBODY can completely DISLIKE it.

Now what's the purpose of my little story, you may ask. And to that I may reply "lentils remind me of adidas", or more likely I would say that although it may bother you that people are posting sites that you don't approve of, it still is not right to put them down. Now I'm not saying that you or anyone else is putting them down, but generally people seem to get a bit cocky in their replies. If you don't enjoy the site, just don't reply. Or, instead, provide an intelligent and light-hearted response that you're sure won't offend anyone. And if you think the quality of sites is deterorating (sp?!?) then post some sites you enjoy that you feel have higher standards. Don't wait for soemone else to so it instead.

oh and also, subject lines like "best site ever" are sometimes over used. It is far more practical and considerate to users on slow connection, or just with very little patience, to post the name of the website in the subject line. That way, people know what they're in for..maybe they've seen the site before and don't wanna look at the thread.

I am sick and tired of is people who have nothing better to do than b*tch about how ppl self promote themselves and act like everything in the internet should be to your standards or tastes. What has it caused you 5 seconds out of your life to look at something. Why do you act like it has just ruined your day. Who cares if they try to self promote them selves. The title is "cool sites". Maybe its cool to them or other people. The world doesn't revolve around you. If you dont like what you see look away its that easy.

rancid, we have different forums at flashkit for a reason.

and the *only* reason threads are moved or closed is because they were posted in the wrong forum, as in they have posted in cool sites looking to promote themselves or get feedback or even just drive some traffic to their site.

if they have already posted their thread in the appropriate forum in addition to cool sites, then the thread in cool sites is closed- otherwise it is moved to the appropriate forum. understand?

believe me, it has nothing to do with taste. it has to do with standards and making it easier to access information with the least wasted time possible... this is what makes a forum successful.
