    Anyone out there know of a good (meaning free) XML weather feed? I have located a news & stock quote feed, but I can't seem to find anyone who can serve up some weather data XML style . . .

    Thanks in advance ---

    I don't have access to a machine with VB on it at the moment (and I am tired :-) ) but you could have a look at this:

    www.weatherroom.com offers a free XML weather feed so long as you have a link to them somewhere on your site. Find out more by selecting the "Add weather to your site" link at the top of their home page.

    The following link is a raw XML capture from the weatherroom extended forecast feed: www.crowdersmountain.com/weather/weather.swf

    The Actionscript used to get this data is:

    code:

    function importTraffic_XML() {
    WeatherReport = new XML();
    WeatherReport.onLoad = GenerateWeather;
    WeatherReport.load("http://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/28052");
    WeatherReport.ignoreWhite = true;
    }

    function GenerateWeather(success) {
    if (success) {
    rootNode.text = WeatherReport.firstChild;
    }
    }

    To use your own city, simply replace the 5 digit zip code in the WeatherReport.load command with that of your city in question.
