flash777,
you're a visual kinda guy--aren't you?
MF :>)

hehehe ... guess so! I believe in pushing ONE button
instead of 5 to get the same resultes :-)

My wish is for it to do my laundry and cook dinner.
If thats not possible maybe image resizing in swish instead of having to use another program and then import it.

Going up!
Hi all,
Now the the big DM (David Michie our Moderator) is back from what I hope was a very good holiday...Thought it would be nice for his comments on the wish list so far...
Over to you David,
Best Regards

Maybe I'm overlooking some obvious feature but...
Maybe I'm overlooking some obvious feature but the simple ability to be able to zoom in - in the main EDIT window - this would be so useful.
Is it present already?

Good Wish
The ability to make a swf preload other swf movies.
this way you dont have to design your whole site in swish, you can preload your smaller(or bigger) movies to incorporate into some html and frames.
-
Evan had a great idea: the ability to Save or Export in an
.eps file format for then importing into NLE video stuff.
Swish can be an AWESOME "Character Generator" standalone
for use in traditional video projects. Oh yeah.
Please, OH, PLEASE, David, can you include this in even
v1.52? (hehehe) I'll even prepay the v2.0 U/G cost now!!!
P.S. I hope begging and bribery will help :-)

music on/off button
There's a detailed discussion of sound shortcomings at the following thread:
http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...threadid=18399
What was basically discovered is that in complex movies with many loops and sounds, there is no way to have a button which works like the mute button on your TV which will block all sounds from being played from that point on in the movie.
This feature would be excellent to have.
In addition, user-defined variables and conditional testing would be fabulous, because then you could say:
If user clicked "music off" button (which set the variable from "on" to "off")...
Do not play sound
Else
Play sound
That would solve the majority of sound control woes. In addition you would gain heaps more user control with everything, because you'd be able to set variables based on user clicking things, and what not. So the user would be able to control what the movie does much more than is currently possible.

This can be done with the "LoadMovie" feature.

I've seen this in a cartoon...

Hi all,
As you may all know, Swish vesion 2 is due around December.
And well, if you had one wish for an extra feature, what would it be? you never know David M may read this and grant your wish in the next version!
Just for starters....
The ability to insert frames anywhere in a scene!
(You wouldn't want to know the amount of times i've had to rebuild a scene....and wouldn't have to if i could insert a frame!)
Cheers All

Rollover Here
I know what your talking about there man. I have had to do the same thing lots of times. However, they did make it easy to delete them out.LOL. This would definitely be one wish I would like to see happen.

Dear developer(s),
Thanks for you provide the tools for us. IT'S PERFECT.
I tried to set movie width & height to 100%!! OF COURSE, IT DOESN'T WORK. :=))
I would like to see...
1. "FULL SCREEN" can be used.
2. "IF MOVIE LOADED" action can be added. -> http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...5&pagenumber=1
Thanks a lot

my only wish
capable of
-gif animation
-avi, mpeg or any movie clips
-more actions and scripts

just thought of one
Thought of another wish for the Transform dialogue box:
Ease in & Ease Out, as in flash, where something starts slow and speeds up, or starts faster and slows down. Maybe you could do one better and have percentages for the beginning and or end where you can specify a beginning or ending percentage of the fixed velocity.
Just a thought on a Friday...

Hello Swishers,
This week I will be putting together a spec for Swish 2.0. All your suggestions are appreciated, but please understand we can't do everything.
Thanks, David.

one more
That joke's not funny, David!
OK, but seriously, I'm glad to know you've finally seen this great list, and I sincerely hope you'll consider moving ahead with the immediate upgrade price and a continuing rollout of new features as they become available -- from my perspective, that works great for everybody.
And while I'm here, here's one more that occurred to me the other day: movement along more complex motion paths (i.e. not just straight lines). Not as high-ranking as my other wishes on this list, but would be very cool nonetheless...
Thanks, David, welcome back, looking forward to see how you and your team will proceed...

Just one wish on the list :
Next version of swish :
- Ability to lock files
- Easy flash menu creation tool built in

Mr. Monkeypants should love part of this!!!
With the growing interest and sharing of JavaScript stuff
to use with Swish applications, how about a "Preferences"
option dialog box for "Publish" settings??? Considering
the number of posts related to html settings and JavaScript
lately, this has great potential. Indeed, it can eliminate
one heck of a lot of copying and pasting.
1. In this box, select/checkboxes to enable additional
HTML tags to be AUTOMATICALLY embedded upon "Publish".
At least 5 additional tags for control of the output.
Based upon a number of expressed desires on the forum,
add the commonly requested help wanted ones, as well
as the ability to implement our own on each "Publish".
A "Master" checkbox for "Enable extra html tags" would
also be nice. Especially, for being able to predefine
a desired BGCOLOR s-e-p-a-r-a-t-e from the Background
"Movie" Color. NO...this option should be displayed
on the main control/editing panel for INSTANT creative
decision options and viewing BEFORE Publish :-)
2. Another popup dialog box to enable/disable JavaScript
library. On this popup would be checkboxes for at
least 5 JavaScripts one might wish AUTOMATICALLY
embedded upon Publish...and the ability to enter
user defined names for them. The scripts could be
via links to .txt files, or Swish could provided
a mini-text editor for pasting scripts into.
3. Swish 2.0 should create, by default upon install,
additional subdirectories like:
A. JavaScript(a library folder for JavaScripts)
B. Projects (where Publish puts the html, .swi & .swf
files when you click the button). This
would be an enormous organizational aide.
C. Quicktest (actually, this would be a good checkbox
(testing) to have on the main control panel for
when we don't want to junk up other
directories while simply "testing" stuff
D. Zip4Net (since so many people zip & post their
files for collaborative assistance, a
convenient place to zip output and be
able to find it quickly without having
to scroll through tons of files :-)
E. VBScripts (this may be an upcoming need) OK...a
"JSVBscripts" subdirectory could kill
two birds with one stone.
F. Forum (a convenient place to save forum posts
for future reference)
G. GreatOnes (a folder to keep hot .swf's for study)
Considering the number of posts and difficulties most new
users (myself included) have had with the topic of, umh,
"Preloaders", how about ONE BUTTON that says:
"Create Preloader"
And, in simple checkbox style (with initial defaults),
enables the basics of Preloader configuration to be
done on an interpreted basis to get people up and
running. Kind of a NO-BRAINER "template" approach.
OK...cleared out the brain a bit. Thanks.
