Thread: WHAT'S DAT FONT?

  1. #1
You've probably seen 2advanced.com's newest Flash site, which is VERY COOL! I'd like to know the name of the font they use for the small print, and where to get it. Or if you have any suggestions for another similar font that holds up well at small sizes, please let me know! Most of mine get really blurry once they get below 11 point. If I turn the aliasing off, they look REALLY bad! I'm pretty sure that 2advanced has retained the anti-aliasing and it still looks GREAT. The best font I have for small sizes now is Verdana, but that's a bit boring...

    Thanks in advance!

    http://www.gearworx.com

Top of the screen should be a font button

the font you're looking for is
"Bank Gothic Md BT " i got it to 6 points and it was still pretty sharp

Although, im not sure it's the same font they've used, have a look anyways, I am almost certain it is the same font used in the Design insights intro..

Thank you very much - you've made my day! It's so hard to find a font that's readable in small sizes, yet still has a sense of good design. I appreciate the info!

    Go to http://www.miniml.com

They have tons of 8pt pixel font downloads with instructions on how to use them in Flash without aliasing. They are a great resource, and partners with natzke on fourm.com, who also uses a lot of tiny fonts.

tried to use the url above and kept getting a "topscore" site. Is this the correct site? If so, which way do you go to get to the fonts?

    Thanks,

Click on the word miniml in the top left, not on the big flag looking thing.

It confused me at first too.

    Peace!
