i tried going to Publish Settings... then changing the Window Mode to "Transparent Windowless," but it doesnt seem to be working. For example, the different background color, or the text on my page underneath the stage does not show through. can anyone help please?

    Thumbs down hey

if i got what you mean you just have to make a new color by mixer and set the alpha to 0%.. then modify the movie and choose your new 'color'.. then you bgd is transparent but this works only if you load this movie above the another flash.. it doesn't make the .swf object transparent with the html file.. :/

that would be so cool but no can do i suppose

this is pointless as when you load a movie into a level the background is transparent anyway
