Usually if you want a site critiqued you should post in the 'site check' forum...

other than that I took a look,

I don't know if you have all your examples of illustration/design etc... on the main timeline or what but all I got was the main screen with the loding flashing on and off for about 2min. I'm on a T3 connection, and I never have to wait more than 10-30seconds for anything (30 seconds is usually a fairly substatial quicktime mov or something). Maybe you should try loading the sections as seperate swfs (if that's the case)

Without seeing anything else I can't give you much more than that.
