I was hoping to get some feedback. I like honesty... is this a cool site?

I like the design overall, but as a professional designer I wouldn't give it a rave review.

I find myself wondering what this company does. I might suggest finding a way to suggest that with the motif. What organization have you been reviewed by?
No offense but I find the text effects not very fluid, the layout unrefined and motion jerky. The music is OK, The photo's could have been more well intergrated into the site (masked, dropshadow) to get away from the html/powerpoint kind of feel.

I think that this designer has great talent, but needs to work on a more polished composition, layout and graphical implimentation.

dw, first off I'd like to thank you for your input. It will help for future designs. This was my first real attempt at a website. Most of the reviews so far have been by individuals ranging in internet and flash experience.

Second, I have to disclaim my part in choosing the music... that's the problem with an employer with bad tastes

As for wondering what the company does, it's on the first page of the site in their description. So I'm not exactly sure what happened there.

The intro, which you gave a poor review, is understandable. The intro was done last as an, I'm running out of time and I just need to hold the viewers attention long enough to load this website.

This site has an audience from the Mining Industry. The vast majority of those in the Mining Industry are not highly skilled in computers. That is why this was given a powerpointish look as well.

I'm interested to know what you mean by masked, dropshadow on the photos. I'm still learning the advanced parts of flash.

Thank you for your review though, if anyone else has something to add to rebutt, I'd love to hear it.
