Well, that's a very nicely designed site -- nice graphics, etc ... but, unfortunately it's a terrible Gaming website ... It took me quite a while to figure out that it was a "Counter-Strike" clan webpage ... Looks more like an attempt at showing off design skills, rather than using those skills to reach a target-audience ...

Just my two cents ..

Because i dont want to "spend my time designing" just to have 8 rippers take off with my design, thats why i point out stuff like this.

Funny thing about"calling someone out" about there site is...when the person is at that level with flash chances are they are also a flashkit member. ...Tread lightly !...heh heh

... not in cool sites. I agree with jookbox, but i think is interesting to show this "works". New Boardroom? Finally this is a copyright problem (in this case it doesn´t matter, they don´t reach the quality of 2advanced...), and we all designers must take care, because we will paid for our work and we have fun with it, etc, but we have to work harder for our money as other people who just get our ideas and earn money easily. Not ok. (By the way, nobody has ripped off my work... bad sign...)

it's obviously heavily influenced by 2advanced but at the same time the graphics are different a lot of the effects are different the navigation is in a different place etc etc. I doubt eric jordan is losiong sleep over this one.

however designed it obviously knows what they're doing they just seem to be lazy.

whoever designed it....well! this person is actually at flashkit...I've seen em around. btw...some other flash resource site gave this one thumbs up...in terms of an award I think.

as you can see most people here think it's a waste of time to have pointed this out, i mean you're obviosuly influenced by the design of 2advanced here but it's not like you're selling this or even claiming it's completely original and reselling it are you?

don't sweat it, you seem to know what you're doing as a flash designer and i'm sure you'll get into more original stuff.

I really didnt like the "be patient its coming" intro, it just didnt hold my attention very well. But what I waited for was done well and graphics were nice.

Once I got to the main interface tho I was pleased. As soon as I saw it I knew that this thread was another "2advanced rip" thread, and I can see similarities indeed. But simailarities arent a bad thing. The layout of the websites main interface, or similar designs, is widely used. It is a consistent design that is both easy for people to navigate and is visualy pleasing. Therefore making it a popular choice for not only showing off design talents, but for marketing a product as well.

I didnt get into the game side of it, and I dont know who any "clanpeople" are. So I'll leave that up to ya'll.

Jacci...it may have been a mistake...but don't you think you've got some great skills out of kinda re-creating it? I know when I first saw EJ's first site (the old grey and blue that opened up in 600*400) I was totally blown away from that. Infact I liked it so much that I tried to copy it. I failed miserable...but figured out some really cool stuff that he did with loading movies on top of each other. So what I'm saying is...so what if ppl think you've copied it...all you do now is build on that, develop your own style, and since ppl already know your site...blow them away with something new that you're doing.
Anyway, I think enough have has been said here.
