Shhh!
I'm almost done with this one. Just one section to finish and a couple of bugs to work out.
The audio section is done...you can listen to the streaming music while you look at the rest of the site, and all the audio bugs are worked out.
There's a couple of new toys in the main scene also.

Great Art
That is Soooooooo neat!!!! did you do the art yourself???
It loads very smooth on my 56k modem... I loved the interaction. I found myself running my mouse over everything looking for more. Very nice job! And a lot of good ideas on your business page. A lot of ideas RE: cd production that I had not thought of. Definately a piece of work that you can be proud of.

A bunch of the artwork came from a clipart collection I have, and the rest I did myself (most of the skylines, and everyting that moves).

CONGRATULATIONS...its fantastic...so cool and alive.
There is a clitch on the music selection shape. When a room is selected it ( music selection) pops up in front of the car but is then oblitereated by the white screen. The "please wait its loading" message seems a tad delayed on the White panels as well.
THE BIRDS ARE GREAT.
Fast as on cable and the form is a prizewinner.

Fully agree with all said above, it really is a pricewinner and new look at/in webdesign, my compliments.

Almost done huh? Does this mean you can move onto the next Monkeypants idea? LOL
You've actually stuck with this one awhile! I think its your best in my opinion.
I think maybe the fonts in Music Central need to be a point or 2 bigger. They are hard to read at 1024x768 on a 17" er.
Also, there is a bug where you click on the Business Office, Design Studio or Jay's Room where the turntable pops up and closes again. Also, I think you need some art in the picture frame above the TV.
Again, very creative site. A nice refreshing difference from the hum drum.

Sadly I found my self in a daze, staring at the monitor as I repeatedly moused over the pigeons... It's lookin great!

I'm sorry Jay ... I thought I already responded to this -- but after reading through this post again, I realize I forgot to post ...
I love it ... Your sites have gone in so many different directions ... This one works great (as they all have) ... The animation is smooth (with one exception --- in Jay's Room, when you change albums on the jukebox -- there is a small glitch in performance) ... The sounds are good, the layout is great, etc. etc ... All of the above posts sum it up

Hello
I would like to inform you that streaming is now possible with Swish without using Flix

Shhh!
I've worked with a couple of different methods, including controlling an embedded real player through javascript. I've found that the Flix encoded audio is more efficient, and streams without any buffer time even on 56k connections. In order to make a Real audio stream as light as the Flash stream, I would have to sacrifice sound quality.
Also, some servers do not strema real media very well. I've found that the Flix encoded material works beeter from my non - g2 enabled server.
Thanks for the tip.

Hi Monkeypants
I've tried to use Flix but I have some problem : I just have loaded my swf made with flix in my movie but when I go my page the music loads as if I loaded a another file without preloader.

If you look at the scene, you'll notice it's all just shapes. The style I'm using calls for few right angles (that's what makes things look "cartoony"), so there are no rectangles.
A good program to have around is Adobe's Streamline. It converts scanned images to vector line art, making for very easy shaping and tracing.
A good .wmf clipart collection helps too!
