I came across this site, and was wondering how he programmed the woman to dance and what is she made of? Is that like a video turned vector? And if so, what program turns video footage into vector.....animations, art??? http://www.designbytony.com/main.html

You can export video as .jps from Premiere. Then Import into Flash. This guy has adjusted them in Photoshop to give it that litho look.

Did anyone click the message from Toney button? How funny is that??!!

    Maybe it’s After Effects then.
I’m quite hung-over and finding it hard to do anything that involves movement of my body.

I can hear my eyelids when I blink.

most video programs like premiere will let you adjust the levels of a movie so you get this effect, it would be extremely time consuming indeed if you had to do this frame by frame.

you can make it easy for yourself by filming your subject against a contrasting bg, like a white sheet.

once you have adjusted the levels in your vid app export the clip as a series of jpgs and import them into flash, they will appear as a series of keyframes.

eliminate any duplicates and tidy up the images and trace them into vectors with flash's trace vector tool. Tidy them up again, it's easy to get rid of extraneaous bits of a vector and animate...

here's one i just did, it took me about twenty minutes once it was in the video app (i used virtual dub), you can get a better quality than this if you take a bit longer

no worries, get virtual dub here, http://www.baeckerei-schorner.de/vdub it's free and very simple if you're not used to using premiere etc.

    Come on....
This site is quite nice but after clicking a 'message from tony', you just click out the window thinking Tony is a bit of a peen! The dancing girl is a piece of cake. But he has done it by import and export, he would have had a much better result if he had actually traced and gone into each individual frame and got rid lots of the many useless vectors that happen in these style imports. Very time consuming but there really is no substitute. It could mean the difference in 1500 curves compared to 150, and when multiplied by 50 frames or so, easts up load time and flash's speed.

I like the woman dancing, but I have seen it many times before. For the site in a whole, it seems like another Eric Jordan spoof, even though it sucks.

    my 2 cents

    Pro:
    ...I belive in freespeech, but...

    Cons:
(Sometimes its very difficult to be objective.)

If this was his 'personal site' I say 'right on', do your thing. But this guy, I feel, stepped over the line when he tries to come off as a webshop/design studio.
Is it that difficult to realize that one has no talent and has NO business offering 'creative' services to consumers?? I mean, it's ok to start off as a beginner (everyone has to start somewhere) and work hard to improve your skills. But one, like this guy, has to realize that he has NO talent and NO business doing what he does, he's not adding anything to our visual community, rather producing more visual garbage.

For the love of God, please stop this guy from doing another project for someone else!

So I have no talent, interesting, so why am I making money when most people are layed off at this time.

Why is it that I can take a site that was making no money, come in redesign it, market it and now it is making money, infact it had an article published about it.

Go figure with a "guy" like me that has no busines doing what I am doing.

    Intersting.
