I am using Swift3d v2 which is a great product.
But when I want to rotate an object it seems that I must rotate it manually with the mouse and that doesnt give me the precision I want. Have I missed some way to do it precisely with just writing in some numbers for how much rotation I want for the object in x,y,z directions?

You can gain a fair amount of precision by using the rotation toolbar (bottom left) and choosing the rotation amount from the drop-down menu. This way gets you to the nearest 5 degrees. Not the same as typing the number in (I would like that also) but will get you closer.
Peace,
