If I place a flash movie on to a html page does the whole movie have to load before I will be able to start seeing the movie or will the movie load and as there is a portion of the movie loaded it will start to play?
I am concerned that the viewer looking at my website will have to wait for the whole movie to load before they will see it.

    thanks adpenner

The movie will start to play as soon as the the frames are loaded! However there maybe a stutter for some frames load this is why most people use preloaders to get the movie cached before it's played!
    Check out the tutorials

    for help with preloaders!

btu u have to consider a 56k user, it sometimes best to have a preloader that loads almost the entire movie b4 it starts, because if a 56k user is downloading an mp3 and visiting your site, it may only be downloading at 1kb per second or less,

and most people will say its almost impossible to make a site that streams on this bandwith!
