ah, the smell of roasting bird!

Thanks, Lisa... yes, we are looking forward to the Thanksgiving meal here. The family is gathering and the smell of roasting bird is pulling me from my office<g>. See you later and have a GREAT Thanksgiving, and the same to each and every member of this board.

    Best,

Using Unc's smoke effect to good effect

I liked Unc's great smoke effect so much (he posted it earlier today), I just had to play with it:

The smoke effect was created by Unc, all the rest is my creation.

    Enjoy.

How about placing all your work onto a site and then including a link in your signature so that you dont have to continue bringing this post back up.

IMHO I think its lived its life and needs to go the way of the archive.

I mean you no disrespect, but all other members are discouraged from continuously adding to their own posts. I think you've broken the old record by leaps and bounds here Granted, you have continued to add content, but my above suggestion would give those interested in your work a place to go and also allow for the help questions that this forum was created for to not be pushed down by older content.

Your post has had its 2 minutes of fame............Ooops, I mean two weeks...................let the archive have it already.

sorry, but I do not completely follow you

Jerry, I'm sorry but I do not completely follow your reasoning. I'm simply trying to be helpful here, both to others and myself by exploring Swish. I'm not interested in setting records of any sort but put everything in one topic because that's what you moderators ASKED me to do. I do not see how this discourages anyone from posting their own material; we should be a community and share, I am sharing. However, I do try to get along, if the moderators wish me to again start posting in separate messages whenever I come up with something I'd like to share, that's fine. But there will be a lot of messages. I cannot help being prolific, it's what I do<g>.

Your a wonderful asset to the forum and your continued help in here is appreciated. Thats not what this is about though. Its about you continuing to bring up your post when its established within all of the forums here at FK to be inconciderate to the others in the forum wishing to have their 15 minutes. Your post pushes their post down. Now, lets just imagine if everyone in the forum decided to adopt your same posting method and it seems to me to be easy to imagine how hard it might be to find the newer posts.

Now, if your post had 30 or so different individuals responding it would be a different story, but it seems that you are mostly responsible for ressurecting this post repeatedly.

Truly if its only your intention to help then why not do so by creating a location where those interested in your work can go and view/download it.

The forum moderators (I do not represent them with this comment) have been gratious and shown you more latitude than Ive seen previously extended to anyone else in similar instances. If its your intention to flood the forum with new material please extend us the courtesy of expanding on concepts and ideas that havnt already been done to death. Im talking about simple slides, transforms. If your work doesnt evolve and each of your posts are merely a re-hash of the previous post then they are just taking up space and realy not helping anyone. Certainly not anyone that couldnt just click the aformentioned link in your sig.

    Okay, I'll stop

Okay, Jerry, I'm sorry you feel the way you do and I'll stop. It's not my intention to cause any sort of conflict, only to help promote Swish and show the many things you can do in it.

This is the first time I've ever been kicked out of a forum for participating TOO MUCH, but it's not like I don't have a plethora of other interesting things to do.

I'll leave my contributions in place and hope they will benefit others and that others will have as much fun modifying and using them as I did in their creation.

Keep on Swishing and Happy Holidays,

No where in either of my posts did I ask you to leave the forum. Im not that kind of person. Come on Ralph, I like you and am merely asking you to follow the same posting guidelines that all other members are asked to follow.

I regret that in my previous post I worded it in such a way that may have seemed demeaning to your ability. I didnt mean that. We are all of different ability here and Im certain that many have learned from your contributions. That being said, if someone continues to post work that is so similar to previous work reguardless of its level of skill the post is likely to go to the way side. This is reflected in the number of actual responses you have recieved to this thread and if it werent for you continuing to bring it back up Im fairly certain it would be back on the back pages as are all of my past contributions.

I dont want you to go. I just would like you to have the same concideration for the other posters as has been extended to you and abide by forum guidelines in reguard to posting procedures.

Please contact me by Email if you wish to respond. I will be glad to discuss this further with you Ralph if need be. I can be contacted at Surfeman6@usa.net.
