touch screen monitors

Does anyone know anything about touch screen monitors, and how they work, or if it's possible to create flash movies to use with them? Any information would be very helpful.

in my limited experience with programming touchscreens using director and lingo, it recogonised a touch as a mouse click, so the lingo programming was the same as normal - you just set the event as on mousedown.

i can't see how much would change with flash but i haven't tried it out.
