Is there any way to add a "snow" or "falling stars" applet to a simple movie? What I tried, only allowed the snow to fall around the movie, not over.
If not, does anyone know how I can create that effect?
    Thanks!

Sure use a mask element that masks the outer edge around your main movie then place the background "snow" animation after the mask and that should do what you want.

As for making the snow animation create the snow flakes enable properties and then set them in motion with actions and make them wrap using bounding box action.

Short of making it for you you that ought to get you started.
