I am unable to load a movie into a Movie Clip instance and control it. This is the only way to get total control over the swf's timeline, right? Is this an issue that will be fixed in a new version? In a previous version, all text came up in "W"s, when loaded in an instance. Anybody got any Ideas?

Dan:
Can you please tell me if you are using v1.02? If you are not, please download the update. Previous versions had a bug with loading a movie into a movie clip instead of a level.
Let me know if the version is you're problem. If not, let's sort this out.

I am using v1.02. I don't get all "W"s anymore but I still don't get results using a MC Instance.

Ok, so what I'd like now is a bit more detail about what you're doing. There aren't any outstanding issues with 1.02 that we are aware of, so let's try to figure this out.
You'll forgive me if some of the questions seem stupid.
Are you certain that the animation is not loading? That is, is it possible that the animation is loading, but is aligned improperly, making it not appear. When you load a movie, the upper left corner of that movie is located at the center point of the empty movie into which you are loading it.
Are you certain your directory structure is set properly? That is, are you certain you are trying to load the right file from the right location?
Also, you may email me your .FLA and .SWFs to r@wildform.com, and I'll probably be able to see what's going on.
thanks,

Please Forgive ME! It seems my Flash 4 is corrupt and does not play animations when previewed. The loaded movies do play in my Flash Player. I am very sorry for wasting your time. Your help is very appreciated.
Thank
