hey, I've got to point out a few facts

    1. swf scanner is not an unprotector

    2. swf scanner was designed to help out people who lose there .fla files( it does really happen)

    3. swf scanner is the only application that can extract images\sounds and action script from the swf file.

    4. swf scanner is currently $20 not $40

question: how do you open it after it is unprotected?

as for http://www.chironexsoftware.com, i think you should give a 1 month free tryal

    Hehe,

one month free trial would completely cut chironex' revenue.
The time should be enough to rebuild one's fla from swf, and I guess most serious developers would not lose their fla a second time

    hi again Y2K........etc
You can still unprotect movies even though there not v3

    Hi,

Swifty Unprotector is outdated. Swifty Unlock SWF does unprotection. Homepage at http://buraks.com/swifty/

Action Script Viever (59.95 USD), can display version 3, 4 and 5 actionscripts. Download demo and check it out. Homepage at http://www.buraks.com/asv

Unprotecting only helps recovering some symbols. (Not sounds or Actionscripts, not even movieclips)

SWFextractor (25 USD) at http://www.globfx.com/ can also extract JPEG, PNG, MP3 and WAV files.

URL Action Editor (39.95 USD) can help replacing/hiding symbols and editing URL related actions while you are rebuilding the FLA. http://www.buraks.com/uae

    To reconstruct your FLA,
    - Unprotect and IMPORT it with Flash. You'll get one layer of your movie and some symbols.
    - To reconstruct movieclips extract movieclips (as SWFs) and IMPORT them one by one. This helps rebulding them.
    - Use an application to get back your action scripts. Action Script Viewer also lets you browse the SWF file with context sensitive preview, and shows tween/scale etc. values.

Since it's your own SWF it won't be that hard.

To effectively rebuild a FLA from a SWF you need more than extracting the bitmaps and sounds. You need the symbols, the positioning information, the way each object relates and interact with the other ones, the guides and so on. Possibly something that shows you the timeline as close as possible to the one you had when you created the FLA in first place. We believe that this is now possible using our product ‘reAnimator’. It’s beta but will be in the market in a few weeks, have a look and tell us what you think.

    Hi,

I'm not sure if you are still checking this thread or not...
Anyway, have you tried importing your swf file?
