    hi,

    i would like to make a simple on/off button to place on a tv in my flash movie.

    Here is one way - http://www.wellesley.edu/Chemistry/Flick/onbutton.swf and http://www.wellesley.edu/Chemistry/Flick/onbutton.swi - this is the simplest of button actions as it just moves the movie to a new frame where another effect is occurring.
