Last time I look, SVG was still trying to make it as an accepted vector format. Few programs exported it and the player for it was large and didn't have good penetration into the market.

Ok. I thought SVG was the next big thing. I know you guys are up to date on this stuff though. I use a drawing program that only exports vectors to SVG. Of course WMF and EMF may be the most popular. I would like to think we could could get get a standard format like SVG. Maybe that is wishful thinking. Like wishing we could could get one web browser for everyone.

    That aint gonna happen!

Not sure if my ideas have already been posted but here they are.

    1. when you have a license copy of swish, take out the /made with swish/ ad when you export to HTML.

    2. when you are using the shape tool, do make us click on the tool again to make another shape after we just made one

    3. when making a sprite, show or keep the movie layout in the background

    4. when playing the movie internally, have the frames highlighted in the time line.

    5. all those people who contributed to this forum, gets a free upgrade.

Thats All I have for now.. Hope not asking for too much

fla is a proprietary file structure for Flash (as swi is for Swish) - if you want to play with fla files you will need to buy Flash

i use swish all the time so it would have helped to import the fla files....

You can export the fla files as swf and then use load movie to bring them into Swish, but I doubt you will ever be able to legally read fla files in Swish.

#2..#4 are all in the next release ..
Wrt #1 ... the comments in the html which mentioned swish can be easily removed from your HTML before you upload it .. we don't force you to have it there. It is really up to you to ensure that the html content is as you want it before you upload it to your server.

If you don't want the reference to swish in the html comment, then don't directly use the html as exported by SWISH ... make your OWN html instead, and then use the "copy html to clipboard" to copy the relevant html tags into your own html. If all you use on your website is the html directly from swish .. than that's a pretty primitive web page

We may provide more options for setting up the html in a future release (its on the wishlist). Also in next release, SWISH will prompt you if you want to edit the HTML when you pubish .. so it will make it much easier to customise the generated html for those who don't want to have to manually run their html editor program to remove the commments

    I want ... I want...

    Hi

I think these have already been mentioned but hopefully the more that ask the more chance of them being in the next version .....

    Wish List .....
1)Apply attributes to multiple text or image objects at once
    2)Shape Tweening
3)Better scripting option like 'export mode' in Flash
    4) Align and space multiple objects
5)Option to apply image compression globally OR to each individual image.

Probably getting a bit carried away now but something similiar to Flash MX components would be nice .. drag and drop customizable objects like preloader bars and form objects ....

    Cheers ...........

maybe a little html window, so before we export we can customize the code to our needs? Its no biggie, but its a bit of a hassle doing it with notpade over and over and over and over and over again. lol

Somewhere in a million posts I think Roger covers that one.

It will have an option to edit the html when you export the html/swf
What will happen is a prompt will pop up asking if you want to edit your html. Then what ever your default html editor is will pop up (or note pad) so you can make corrections/additions.

I respect that Roger is a busy man. But perhaps he, David Michie or another Swishzone staff member start a new thread condensing it down to what they are planning.

BTW to those who have been following along or just catching up.
No one knows the release date.

I already posted my thoughts but just a late idea.

When you draw a circle or rectangle have the width and height follow the tool, you can then see the size you are making the object without having to stop and click on "transform", you could put the width and height "follower" down next to the "press and drag to draw rectangle".

That's already in the new release .. it shows sizes and coordinates in the status bar. There's many little new goodies like that.

Listening to our customers is never a waste of time

I think most of thoae who contributed here will be pleased with the next versions, with many of their requests being implemented .. of course, we cannot satisfy everyone's wishes all at once

That will I think, be one of the best little things in version 3 and surprise many people how useful it is, thanks for including that facility.

It is 11:16 pm right now and i had 5 hours of sleep last night, so bare with me if i dont make sence, ill try .

One thing i would PLEEEEEED the developers of swish to try and improve. Im sure if they take this up (if they havent already) it will be a pain to re-think everything.

But one of the things i get most tierd of in swish is actions. Say i have a text box. I need to go through each and every button to remove on press, or on the one i need it to pop up on, effect in/fade in. Its very tiering going through that 100 times during one single project. I was thinking about this today some. Maybe if there where some way to make a check box, and select what buttons you want to have that action work for, so on one screen you can select and place that action on several buttons?

    Still with me??

Hope you understand what im trying to say, if not, ill try explaining more when i get some sleep

    Thanks for reading!
    Ozzie

PS, Boy i sure am keeping you guys busy! lol

    Hi Ozzworld,

Basically what you are saying is "group" together a bunch of buttons and apply one action.

    This is a good call.

    A quick trick

Copy your button and all effects/events will be preserved
Then you can edit the events to accomodate your changes.
Such as text and go to statements.

Maybe a nothing question, but would you be able to make the opposite of "If Frame Loaded" namely "If Frame Unloaded"?
