Can someone tell me the difference between morphing and tweening? Or are we just talking about distortion...

XBK's post was highly speculative, and was his opinion - not the opinion or a statement of fact from the Swish Design Team. If a program cannot tween, it is highly unlikely that it will be able to morph.

The difference has more to do with the object type than with anything else.

I think that is what he is referring to .. statically morphing / distorting / perspective transforming / whatever-you-want-to-call-it an object .. ie an editong tool), as opposed to shape-tweening where a shape is dynamically changed over time when movie plays.

Scrollbars can be different widths depending on Windows settings. But a program can access such system dimensions fairly easily. Normally, the available area for displaying documents is known as the "client area", and you can work with it through ordinary API calls.

the abiliy to copy and paste actions from one sprite/button/object to another, so I don't need to re-type the actions over and over.

THOUGH i havent discovered the whole of SWiSH v2.0...but still im kinda curious to see Version 3.0 ... mark my words it will be a Killer! no Flash software would be able to stand with it.. not even FlashMX ... i bet it!!!

it´s been a long wait thats for sure

but on one hand i can cope as long as swish 3 blows my mind away when it gets released :P.

And on the other hand, flash mx is a nice product aswell (even though i have never liked mm interface as much as swish), but im feeling ready to spend some more money on swish so release it now :P.

I requested u earlier.. that plz fix the url's of the samples made by u via SWiSH 3 *all the sample' URLs u posted in this Loooooong thread*, and u said.. that it`ll be updated soon at the SWiSHZone Site, but it never happened... so atleast let us see wot u`ve been able to make with it... i`ll be greatful to see all the sample' urls in ur next post.. if its not possible.. do let me know 'WHY?'

thank you asking for our opinion.

Just working with SWISH, I have one thing very annoying:
If you have more objects, and you scroll down to work on lower objects, it is not possible to see "where you are", means I do not see stops and labels.
Would be v e r y useful to LOCK the scene - line (or whatever you call it)! I have to scroll up and down in the moment - nasty!

And by the way, someone else called it nasty popping window, when setting a PLACE - the effect settings maybe can be docked? I leave it open in the upper right, hiding the frames.

Ok, Roger, you wrote, to give suggestions also if they are already mentioned:

- rules with guides (like in photoshop)
- alignment of selected items /spreading
- selecting, cutting and pasting a sequence of frames
(I know, but I think we are adult enough to know that it is not
possible to cut effects)
- variables (if possible?)

Actually, it is possible to cut/copy/paste effects and groups of effects, as long as they are for the same object: Click on the first effect to highlight it, then scroll to the last effect on the timeline for that object. Hold the Shift key and click the last effect. You can now right-click for the edit menu, or Ctrl+C to Copy, Ctrl+X to cut or Ctrl+V to paste. The same keyboard shortcuts as Microsoft Windows & Office.

Thank you for your answer, Dead Rabbit,

my intention was:

click on the framenumber 105, shift-click on framenumber 166, copy ALL effects of ALL objects and insert/paste them at frame 180.
NOT ABLE TO CUT effects in this context means, that it is clear, that you can NOT copy effects, which go in or out of this area of selected frames or CUT them at the frames selected.

By the way, I did forgot to mention one more thing for a new version:

IF /THEN/ ELSE GOTO FRAME (if possible?)
