I am just learning Flash 5 and I just finished my first splash page for a website I'm working on, featuring my first Flash movie. It runs fine in Flash and can also be viewed when browsed off-line using IE.

I uploaded the .swf and .html files that I created by publishing the movie to my webspace, but I cannot view my movie from the web.

What did I do wrong? It draws the frame for the canvas, but then never finishes loading. The Flash player is never spawned, or prompted to download for. I thought this part was a no-brainer.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I'm dealing with the same devil. Try reloading/refreshing. It finishes downloading the movie in my case. Check it out:

Can you post the url so we can take a look?

This is a shot in the dark, but it may be just a file naming issue. Do you have spaces in you file name?

    Ex. "my file.swf

Never use spaces, if you must use an "_"
    Ex. my_file.swf

You might also check to see if you have the current plugin. It is hard to tell will out seeing it.

Are you saying that the 5.0 plug-in can have difficulties reading flash4 movies? That'd be disastrous.

Nope, but the Flash 4 plugin can't play the flash 5 features. Which version are you using to create it with?

Here's the URL. The graphics are crappy at this stage, and I am just learning Flash, so I appologize in advance. Still, publishing is a basic thing, and it's not working!!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I like the layout...though once i went to check out the tables, i found i couldn't get back to the mainpage. I may have missed something. I was just wondering...did you do your roll over effects using Swish?

Those rollovers are just buttons. The table images are in the down stages.
