Ok, so on the 15th we can start to purchase and download this wonderful new upgrade. There are 24 different time zones Which one is the right time zone? Is it Pacifc Time US? Thats where MM is headquartered, so it makes sense.

If you look at the countdown (by Macromedia) on actionscripts.org, it says about 9 hours to go.

it's the same clock as on were-here, and both of them are counting up.
ie: not getting closer to the release, getting further away.
I really want to know how long now for real.

How do you figure it's counting up? It says 8.75 hours now (for me at least) Maybe I'm missing something?

It appears to be based on the user's computer's time as opposed to the server's time, so obviously it's PAST the release time in your time zone... hmmmm...

it could be that I'm in New Zealand,
ie my time zone has already passed the release time...
maybe thats screwing with the date object..
    bugger, how long you say?
    and where are you based?
anyone here got the timer time according to Pacific?

So I got to thinking, if the release time was based on the users "computer time", what would happen if I changed the time on my computer? Guess what, it seems to have an effect on the clock on the Actionscript.org web site.

I tried about 24 different time zones and just cant get it to say "its time to download".

So it affects the clock on this page, does it have any affect on when we can actualy DL the product?

    thanks Gerbick, I know that,
what I meant was, what time (PT) is it being released, and therefore how long to go...
If you are in Pacific, what does the timer say?

It will be 12 noon tomorrow - it's 8:12pm Pacific as I type that. So, 15+ hours to go from the moment I post this.
