    Im trying to work out a massive oracle database as part of a project. its a big database and i am just interested in finding out how it works, but i have no documentation . it is ora sever v7.3.2.2.0

    i have some tools on a cd that oracle sent me i have started to use sql*plus but that database is massive.

    whats the best tools to use to work out what is going on? maybe an explorer like tool? any tips?

    A great tool for Pl/sql and viewing the entire database is TOAD. Tool for Oracle Application Developers. You can find a demo out on the web somewhere, it's made by qwest i think.
