linksys says i have to change the static ip of my router to use FWDing .... is this true? I messes up my router trying to do both:
1. Change the ip of my router
2. Change the ip of my pc

Leave your router IP alone, only make the changes I said to port forwarding. Also make sure to make the changes to your netcard.

I keep messing up, when i edit the ip in windows and save it i open internet explorer but get an error message. It seems my router is not giving me internet access...

I'm not sure how active this thread is but i may have the answer. If the page is showing up in your local network (the computers in your house) your router is setup correctly, and apache is setup correctly try hanging the port that apache serves to. Port 80 is commonly blocked by isp for bandwidth and security reasons. If this helps gimme a hollar, postmaster@designpeak.com
