    how do i anchor one end of a line onto an object... and the other end onto a dragable symbol?

    is it possible?

    Yes it's possible.

    You just need to redraw the line every time you change the position of the dragable symbol (and reposition the end point of the line).


    Chek the example of my poligonal 3D engine which is made on the same princip (closed lines with filling) if that is what you ment:

    redraw the line? is there a function for that?

    which is part of what object? line_symbol.lineto() ?

    part of the MC object -- if you look in the actionscript dictionary and search for "moveto" it will let you view all the related MC functions for on-the-fly drawing of lines and polygons.

    Redraw Line

    myMovieClip.clear()

    Method; removes all the drawing commands associated with a movie clip. Shapes and lines that are drawn with the Flash drawing tools are unaffected. Calling the clear method also removes the current line style.

    thanks for your help guys.... i managed to work it out before coming back here.... damn MX makes actionscripting so much easier!.... and it allows for alot of syntax mistakes....
