Doh!
Even with the latest version of the activeX control the resource call for the icon fails among other things.

Add the activeX control to a VB or VC++ Toolbar and IF it even works the icon is the generic document icon.
(Don't even try this if you have pre r22 because it will completely blow out VB and VC++)
Where is the cool MX icon or even a neat little wavy "f"?

This problem is just the tip of the iceberg when implementing a flash ActiveX control in a application. From there everything goes to hell in a handbag real quick.

Before I peg MM for this problem does anyone else use the flash activeX control in an application and it doesn't want to work with MX?

I'm really excited to get this working because our extensive set of data analysis tools (gauges, dials, sliders, charts, plots, etc) would be awesome as Flash UI Controls. Right now they are just MC's with complex instructions. (Sorry, they probably won't be available to the public.)
