Thread: a simple aplha effect?!!!

    how can I do a simple alpha effect on flash mx??!!
    when I create a motion tween, it tell's me:
    "motion tweening will not occur on layers with ungrouped shapes or on layers whit more than group or symbol"

    what must I do? don't understand....

    Alpha propretie can be aplied to a symbol there is placed in a frame, you click it and open the propreties panel and choose COLOR: ALPHA and you choose the percentage you like.
    To learn how to create a motion Tween there is nothing more simple that going to the help menu in flash5 and choose lessons, Motion Tween.

    I wasn't able to replicate your error.

    Make sure that each thing that is motion tweening is on it's own layer. Flash makes it a graphic symbol if it isn't already.

    That is a weird error.

    Just to cover this a little more...

    To tween something, make a new layer, create a graphic symbol and place it on the starting keyframe. Select a bunch of frames, hit f5 to make them frames. Then right-clickone somewhere in the middle, create motion tween, then make a keyframe at the end, and then change the two ends to get the effect.

    Still a really odd error message.....
