Click "vectorworks" and use the map in the pic to zoom.

Nice. Great use of Illustrator's new gradients! Those images seem like they've been traced off a real pic, anyone know if they were?

    Site is nice too!

If you read the 'about' section, it says the images were drawn in flash. Which makes it even more amazing.

If that is true then these are by far the most impressive illustrations I've seen that are created using just the drawing tools in flash. I'd like to see what she is capable of with a copy of illustrator or freehand to work with.
    great link thanks

I have got to reply to this post...

Her work is by far the best vector art I have ever seen. I don't think that Illustrator or freehand would have made a difference here.

    Awesome link!

    Smile

pbleber, I agree, just the nature of the drawings suggests that they are pics from fashion mags, etc, but then it's not as if she is claiming otherwize, so good work either way.

    cheers

Hmmm drawn in flash? It's possible, but then s/he would need a ****load of radial gradients all over the place.. Nice stuff though, whatever it was made in.

Her style reminds me of some of that old airbrush art, way back before it became a tool in photoshop.

Wow, beautifully done. I don't get how she did the lips in flash though.. even with alot of work it doesn't seem possible to me. Oh, well, beatiful work.

Watch out supermodels! With the rise of people like this chick that draws models, we won't even need you anymore! Then you'd have to learn how to read! MWAHAHAAHAHA

The end product is the end product which is great. As far as how they were created, I'm sure they're based on photographs. My sketching abilities are not top notch compared to true artists. Give me a black and white photograph and I can reacreate it in pencil using simple grids. The final product looks like I'm hella good. I'm sure it's the same thing here. A photograph as reference. That's NOT taking anything away from her work at all. Plus the important fact that it's her "thing." I'm just saying that work like this isn't unreachable at all. You could do it with some effort. Especially with all the help trace bitmapping would provide.

Other site with nice vector art is http://www.dementia7.com .

Actually everything there is done in flash, even the drawings ( i though they were made in photoshop and then imported into flash, but no, it's all vector graphics!!!!

By the way, that vector art in juniatwork is vector art, but it's not done on flash (I bet you whatever you want).
I know I have no arguments for what I'm saying, but I think I know flash tools pretty well, and that art is way more advanced for flash tools (maybe is done somewhere else and then retraced in flash, I dunno, but at least I know she uses other programs!
