    IS there a way to decrease th size of the swf file when exporting the movie?

    Hiya,

    Have a look at the Flash tab of the Publish Settings dialog available via 'File >> Publish Settings' on the main menu.

    You should see a 'Compress Movie' checkbox, and ticking this will reduce the size of your SWF when publishing. This works especially well with ActionScript-heavy movies, but doesn't do so well with already compressed items such as images and mp3 files embeded in the movie.

    This setting is set by default, so you may already be compressing your movie as much as possible. If this is the case and you need to bring the file size down then you'll need to look at other ways of doing so, such as increasing the compression of image files and only including necessary font outlines.
