We are seeking someone who loves to
code (Cold Fusion, HTML, etc.) with a great eye for design. We are a small
shop needing someone who likes to wear many hats (web site overhaul, CRM
database updates, site updates, ecommerce possibility, interactive
    marketing)...

    --------------------------------------
This is a lead that someone just sent me...I am looking for someone to help me take this on

    Need more info to compute.

That is a very vague job description.

    Does it pay real money?
Do you need someone permanent or temporary?
    Where are you located?
    Who the heck are you?

Answers to questions like that are important when trying to hire people.

NOw now...Scott. Be nice to the nice man who is offering work.

I will post as I wish, and give as much info as I wish. If I deem YOU worthy of getting more information, than I will let you know.

    Until then...

Good lord, is it the MI5?

Although I think you will get enquiries, I would think you would get better and more professional people applying if your post was more in depth and professional. A lot of people post for jobs stating help wanted etc and want it for free !

I wasn't trying to attack you or anything; I was trying to help you. With those simple questions I asked, you would get some decent inquiries.

The route you're taking is wasting people's time including yours.

I find these to be legitimate questions which have been easily answered in the past by professional companies and businessmen in al the forums I visited through the years (Flashkit, Were-Here, Ultrashock and others).

While the ones that refused or skirted the questions turned out to be nothing more than SCAM ARTISTS trying to prey on the young kids that frequent these forums especially in these tough times.

It's real simple, real businesses don't hide and can answer ANY question posed to them. The questions Scott posed are standard, proper and everyday business questions.

Your defensive posture and atittude towards these simple questions raises a RED flag in my book. This smells like some kind of SCAM plain and simple.

Business is based on both parties being straight and upfront. You seem to want to hide behind a facade of a company by implying WE but yet want to stay in the shadows and expect the potential contractor to stand in the light for YOU to see.

Your atittude is: I want to know who YOU are but I"m not gonna tell you who I AM. Real businesses don't operate this way.

As you so clearly stated that you will post as you wish and so will I.

My advise to anyone reading this is to ask the same questions Scott has raised of any individual or so-called company you deal with and if they can't answer you honestly and convincingly... STAY AWAY.

I rarely post but I have seen these posts through the years and seen so many people get burnt its not even funny.

Scott, I commend you... your doing a great job in the forums , keep it up.

    Until then...
