Ok, who knows a good way to create a sparkle type effect.

I want to create a group of words that SHOW then a sparkle of light sparkles across the word.

Like a flare or something like that.

It's not animated, but should give you some good ideas on making a lens flare using the tools provided.

    Jason,
I'm unable to access this link. I can click on it but the page stalls. I tried to just download the file and that didn't work either.

If you want to email the file to me that'd be cool.

WHen creating your sparkle, you can achieve a very nice fuxxy effect to a star with the paint tool by turning the 'feather' option up. (make sure you have the advanced interface on)

I'd suggest giving the object rotational velocity, and lateral motion ?

Look forward to seeing the result!

    Regards

oooh,I'll try but I really don't get that velocity and acceleration stuff yet...

I guess it's time to learn.

    Hello dneizby,

I borrowed a technique used elsewhere that attempts to look like a beam of light passing through the background.

I've used dkerr's idea about using the feather effect to get the star done.

    Check it out at http://www.syssoft.net.au/3dfa/search_light.html
