Frame Lag??

I have a swf that is pretty much just a simple website. But the problem is that when you click to go to the next frame it lags about .5 - 1 second. And it is really bugging me. The frames are right next to each other and not a whole lot is changing. The only thing that I can think of is that I have a survey type thing that involves a lot of components. Could that be what is slowing it down, and what can I do to fix it?
