issues with player 6? ..Browser error

I've been getting a browser error when opening a flash movie in my browser. After a bunch of looking around, it seems like an older movie (v3 or 4) is crashing the browser. After testing on a bunch of different machines, all windows2000, IE 5.5 and 6, flash player 5 and 6, the only variable that's constant when the browser crashes is flash 6. it seems like there'a problem with playing an older movie.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

thanks for the suggestion, but no, this crashes the browser. The movie that seems to be crashing it is just a graphic, there's no script or loading/streaming. It crashes before displaying.
