    that the getBytesTotal() and getBytesLoaded() of a compressed Flash MX .swf show the uncompressed amount?

    I just built a site that uses a simple percentage preloader and it shows the total size as 196k when on disk its 70k

    don't want to put people off... it does load much faster than it should obviously,
    but if you were to take it on face value you could be inclined to close the window.

    just don't mention the kilobytes value anywhere that's normally enough to scare of the average dial-up user anyway if it's more than about 40kbs.
